'tis the Season

Whimsy Stamps, Little Miss Muffet Stamps and Make it Crafty have joined together for a three company blog hop and challenge to celebrate their new releases this week. To catch all the fun go to the Three Company blog site.

Card recipe:
Make it Crafty:  Gift Way digital stamp
Little Miss Muffet: Saffron digital stamp
Whimsy Sentiment -ticket
I only had one Little Miss Muffet stamp and that was Saffron so I used her:O)

I merged the gift-way digital stamp with the Saffron stamp and obtained the above image of the girl (Saffron) standing in front of the presents and the way-signs. I stamped Warm and Wishes on the way sign and hand wrote 'winter' on the middle slat. Coloured the image with Prismacolor markers, added glitter glue to the snow on the sign and ground  and then to add interest to Saffron's hat and muff I used  white fuzzy flock . To finish the card off I added   flourishes from Marianne designs die cuts and a snowflake flower from Spellbinder die cuts. Punched out a few hearts to send some 'love' along the way.

Easel Card - Wobble

 Action Wobble Spring Technique
I saw a card on Sue's Rubber Stamping Adventure blog where she made a card with an image that had a wobble to it ( you make or buy a little spring action gizmo and attach it to the image and then to the card). I thought oh that would be so cute for the great granddaughter  and I was off. Off at a slow trot was more like it, it took me  forever to get it to wobble ( I was making my own Action Wobble Springs out of 26 gauge wire as I had no store bought ones) but being all thumbs it was not easy. I perservered and this was the result. It wobbles but not as good as I would like. Next time I would make it so  only the head would wobble:0)
Card Details;
Stamp: digital teddy stamp from Beccy's Place; sentiment stamp a freebie from Creative hands

Our 25th

My DH and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary a while back and I am just now posting the card!!   Through those  25 years we have had our ups and downs, things were not always the way they should be, or they way we planned, but it has been a journey well worth the travelling. We remain  the best of friends and our love is strong.
I made the card to give to  my hubby and as he has been the handy man supreme (lucked in on that one) and I'm the one who putters in the garden I decorated his side of the card with the tools  and put the  flower on my side:)
I choose Bugaboo's Gus and Stella for the card and the verse which comes with the stamp set 'I love being married. It's great to find that one special person you can annoy for the rest of your life!' for the inside of the card. He had a good laugh with that one !

The two best thing ( after my hubby) that ever came out of  my marriage is # 1 - my son, and #2 the other family - his children/grandchildren. I have been truly blessed.

My New Store :D

Head on over to Lexi's Creations for  the challenge details AND  take a peek at all the lovely work from the multi talented Design Team while there!

I decided to use Valentine Scruffles  from Fairy Dust Crafts for this fortnights challenge.  He is such a little sweetie and Fairy Dust has quite a few digital stamps featuring him, several of which are 'valentine' related;  was hard to pick which one to use:O)     He can be found here!

I used a floral background stamp from Stampin Up which I stamped on pink cardstock and heat embossed for a soft romantic look.  The heart box Scruffles is holding   is covered with crystal effects, which  unfortunately, does not reflect in the photo but looks quite nice IRL. I added two little hearts to the bottom flourish. The flower is DIY, a reject from a previous card  and found in my stash!
